G081 — formally the Core Automated Maintenance System for Mobility (CAMS-FM/G081) — is the U.S. Air Force's real-time maintenance data collection and management system for Air Mobility Command's mobility aircraft fleet. Maintenance actions entered by one authorized user become visible to every other authorized user within seconds, supporting a paperless maintenance-documentation environment across the Mobility Air Forces. It is a Common Access Card (CAC) / External Certificate Authority (ECA) credentialed system, not a public website, reached at webg081.csd.disa.mil.

What it is

G081 is the maintenance-data backbone for mobility aircraft, giving maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and logistics analysts a current, shared picture of aircraft and component status. The Defense Acquisition University's (now the Warfighting Acquisition University, "WarU") product-support tools catalog lists it as supporting Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Product Support Analysis (PSA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and general maintenance planning and management.

Who operates it

Air Mobility Command owns the G081 Program Management Office, which functions as the liaison between DISA, the program office, and downstream logistics systems (including GDSS2, REMIS, and ILS-S) and the WebG081/G081 user community. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is the central design activity (CDA) and primary sustainment provider, running the system out of DISA computing facilities. A related DISA sources-sought notice, designated "FMxC2/G081," lists an anticipated place of performance at the DISA Datacenter Oklahoma City, located on Tinker AFB, with a base period plus four option years running January 2026 through January 2031. Federal procurement documentation for the AMC LOGNET support contract identifies "Core Automated Maintenance System for Mobility (CAMS-FM)/G081" (USTRANSCOM usage), "G081 Mobility Air Force Logistics Command and Control (MAF LOG C2)" (USAF usage), and "Field Maintenance Command and Control (FMxC2)" as names for the same underlying system, commonly referred to simply as G081.

Access

G081 is CAC/ECA credentialed — DAU/WarU's tools catalog explicitly lists it as a CAC- or ECA-enabled tool, not an open public resource, which corrects the directory's prior "public" classification. Provisioning is handled through a user's unit, TASO, and the G081 program office rather than through a public self-service signup; no publicly documented account-request URL for this specific system was found.

How logisticians use it

Maintenance and logistics personnel use G081 to document maintenance actions, track aircraft and component status in real time, and support inspection, configuration management, and reliability/maintainability analysis for the mobility fleet. Air Force maintenance-management guidance references G081 (alongside systems like IMDS) as a source that feeds monthly maintenance-management analysis reporting. Its real-time, always-current design is central to AMC's paperless maintenance-documentation approach.

History & lineage

Federal contracting notices refer to a "Core Automated Maintenance System for Mobility (CAMS-FM/G081)" recompete and, separately, to a DISA-led "FMxC2/G081 field maintenance data information system" sources-sought effort with sustainment planned into the early 2030s. AMC's own LOGNET support-contract documentation confirms these are alternate program names for the same G081 system rather than a distinct successor effort.

Related systems

G081 is described in official tool listings as interfacing with other Air Force and DoD logistics systems, including GDSS2 (Global Decision Support System), REMIS (Reliability and Maintainability Information System), and ILS-S (Integrated Logistics System-Supply), as part of the broader mobility maintenance and logistics data environment.
