AIMS-IC

AIMS-IC (Asset Information Management Solution – Inventory Control) is a commercial, web-based SL-3 component-inventory platform built for U.S. Marine Corps units. It is developed and sold by Troika Solutions, LLC, a Virginia-based defense IT and logistics contractor, and is used by Marine units to reconcile SL-3 (Components Inventory List) holdings, maintain record jackets, and produce inspection-ready documentation.

What it is

AIMS-IC is one module in Troika Solutions' "AIMS" family of asset-accountability SaaS products built for the Department of Defense (other modules include AIMS-AA for armory custody and AIMS-KL for key control). AIMS-IC specifically targets SL-3 readiness: it links SL-3 publications to TAMCNs, ingests CMR (Core Management Record) extracts from GCSS-MC to seed baseline holdings, runs shortfall/reconciliation analysis, and generates audit-trail exports intended to support Field Supply and Maintenance Analysis Office (FSMAO) inspections. Troika states its AIMS product line supports CAC/PIV-based role access.

Who operates it

Troika Solutions, LLC owns and operates AIMS-IC as a commercial product; it is not a government-owned system of record. Troika was founded in 2011 as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and has supported Marine Corps IT portfolio management and logistics programs for roughly a decade and a half. According to Troika, AIMS-IC has been added to the Department of the Navy's DADMS (DON Application Database Management System) application registry under ID 148343, which the company says lets Marine Corps and Navy units cite a pre-approved registry ID when requesting procurement authority through the Marine Corps' Information Technology Procurement Review and Approval System (ITPRAS).

Access

AIMS-IC is a paid commercial product, not a free or self-service public tool. Prospective Marine Corps or Navy units request a demonstration or procurement information directly from Troika Solutions (via the contact channels below); there is no public self-service sign-up. Because it is registered in DADMS, participating units may reference DADMS ID 148343 during their own internal IT procurement review rather than treating it as an unvetted commercial application.

How logisticians use it

Marine Corps supply and property personnel use AIMS-IC to conduct and document SL-3 component inventories in place of paper-based or spreadsheet-based reconciliation. Per Troika, the Marine Corps' 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit was the first unit to implement AIMS-IC. The platform is designed to produce records — audit trails, shortfall reports, and reconciliation exports — intended to satisfy FSMAO inspection expectations for fidelity, provenance, and reproducibility of accountability data; Troika notes FSMAO does not endorse specific commercial software but reported no blocking issues with AIMS-IC's outputs during its sessions with the company.

Related systems

AIMS-IC is used alongside GCSS-MC (the Marine Corps' official supply system of record, from which CMR extracts are imported) and relates to SL-2/SL-3 component publications and TAMCN-based equipment identification. It is a separate, commercial complement to — not a replacement for — GCSS-MC.
