Ask GSA (ask.gsa.gov) is a self-service online tool run by the General Services Administration's GSA Global Supply program that lets federal and military customers check the status of supply requisitions, report order problems, and manage their account information. It is a customer-service and order-tracking portal, not a shopping or catalog site.
What it is
Ask GSA is the self-service status and support tool for GSA Global Supply, the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) requisition program that supplies federal agencies and the military with roughly 11,000 common-use items (office supplies, IT hardware, general equipment). Per GSA's own Global Supply FAQ page, the simplest way to check a pending order is to "visit the AskGSA website and enter a requisition number for instant status." Registered users can also review order history across a date range, drill into specific line items, report problems with an order, and update the Activity Address Codes (AACs) associated with their account.
Who operates it
GSA Global Supply, part of GSA's Federal Acquisition Service, operates Ask GSA. Customer-service functions route through GSA's National Customer Service Center (NCSC).
Access
Ask GSA is publicly reachable at ask.gsa.gov and basic requisition-status lookups do not require special clearance. Full account features — saved order history, AAC management, and case tracking — require self-registration through the site's registration page. The tool's original deep link stored in this directory (AskGsaSelfRegConfirm) now returns an authentication error; the current working entry point is the site's Experience Cloud home at ask.gsa.gov/s/.
How logisticians use it
Logisticians and supply personnel use Ask GSA to track the status of GSA Global Supply requisitions in real time instead of calling in, to report and resolve order problems, and to request information about GSA products and services tied to their unit's or office's AACs. For issues Ask GSA can't resolve, GSA's National Customer Service Center is reachable at 800-488-3111 or NCSCcustomer.service@gsa.gov; AAC-specific help is handled separately at ordermgmt@gsa.gov.
Related systems
Ask GSA supports GSA Global Supply and is distinct from GSA Advantage! (the GSA's broader e-commerce ordering platform) and gsaglobalsupply.gsa.gov (the ordering catalog itself) — Ask GSA is the status/support layer that sits alongside those ordering channels.
