BUPERS Web Directory

The BUPERS Web Directory was a links/navigation page on the Navy Personnel Command's legacy public.navy.mil site, listing web addresses for Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS) and Navy Personnel Command (NPC) organizations and systems. The legacy public.navy.mil domain has been fully retired (it no longer resolves), and its content was migrated to MyNavy HR (mynavyhr.navy.mil), which now hosts an equivalent BUPERS site-directory page.

What it is

Not a tool or database in its own right — a directory/navigation page pointing to other BUPERS and NPC web resources (organizational pages, reference libraries, instructions, and systems such as BUPERS Online). Its practical value to a logistician was as a jumping-off point to find the right Navy personnel system, not as a destination with its own data or functionality.

Who operates it

Navy Personnel Command, the field-activity component of the Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS), headquartered at 5720 Integrity Drive, Millington, TN. BUPERS/NPC content and web directories now live under MyNavy HR (mynavyhr.navy.mil), which is the current public web presence for Navy Personnel Command.

Public — no account or CAC required to browse the directory/navigation pages themselves. (Some systems linked from the directory, such as BUPERS Online, require a CAC and account provisioning of their own; that access requirement belongs to the linked system, not to the directory page.)

Related systems

MyNavy HR's Site Directories section (mynavyhr.navy.mil/References/Site-Directories/) is the current equivalent of the legacy BUPERS Web Directory. Systems previously reachable through it include BUPERS Online (BOL) and other personnel systems; those are separate tools with their own access requirements.
