DoD Procurement Toolbox

The DoD Procurement Toolbox (dodprocurementtoolbox.com) is a public reference and training site for the DoD procurement and contracting community, maintained by the Defense Pricing, Contracting, and Acquisition Policy (DPCAP) Contracting eBusiness Directorate. It hosts training materials, guides, and reference resources for Government-Furnished Property (GFP) and other Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) modules used across the acquisition lifecycle.

What it is

The Toolbox publishes training slide decks, user guides, FAQs, and quarterly newsletters ("Quarterly News Bytes") covering PIEE modules and DoD contracting-data initiatives. Pages and downloadable PDFs cover topics including GFP Basics/Intermediate training, GFP Module registration guidance, the Contract Data (FPDS) reporting tools, Section 889 exclusion-search guidance, and PIEE hierarchy/onboarding materials. Actual PIEE system access and interactive online training (e.g., GFP module coursework) are hosted separately on piee.eb.mil and its training subdomain.

Who operates it

The site is maintained by the Defense Pricing, Contracting, and Acquisition Policy (DPCAP) Contracting eBusiness (CeB) Directorate, within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition (part of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment). The official DPC Contracting eBusiness pages on acq.osd.mil point to www.dodprocurementtoolbox.com as the source for GFP information for the contracting community.

Access

Public — no login is required to browse the Toolbox's pages and download its training PDFs and guides. A general contact form is available at dodprocurementtoolbox.com/contact-us for questions about the site's content. Actual PIEE system accounts (for GFP Module use, contract writing, etc.) are provisioned separately through PIEE and are outside the Toolbox itself.

How logisticians use it

Contracting officers, contracting officer's representatives, property administrators, and DoD contractor personnel use the Toolbox to find current GFP training slides, PIEE module guides, FPDS (Federal Procurement Data System) reporting references, and policy updates without needing a PIEE account. It functions as the public-facing documentation layer for PIEE's GFP Module and related contracting-data systems, which are central to DoD's push for auditable government property records.
