The DTS Per Diem Rates Query is the Defense Travel Management Office's (DTMO) public lookup tool for the maximum daily allowances — lodging, meals, and incidental expenses (M&IE) — payable for official DoD travel. It covers CONUS, non-foreign OCONUS (e.g., Alaska, Hawaii, Guam), and foreign locations, and is used to build and validate Defense Travel System (DTS) authorizations and vouchers.
What it is
The tool returns the applicable per diem rate for a given location and travel date. Per diem rates are set by three different authorities depending on location: the General Services Administration (GSA) sets CONUS rates, the Department of State sets foreign-location rates, and DTMO (via the Per Diem, Travel, and Transportation Allowance Committee, PDTATAC) sets non-foreign OCONUS rates for areas such as Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories. DTMO republishes and aggregates all three rate sets in one query tool for DoD travelers.
