What it is

FAAST furnishes item managers and transporters a single system for asset visibility and equipment redistribution decisions. It generates automated email reports for lateral-transfer and turn-in directives, tags LINs carrying pending directives to prevent duplicate actions, and produces filtered reports that help managers decide where to move excess equipment.

Who operates it

FAAST is proprietary software developed, owned, and maintained by Ganuch Inc., a Georgia-based government contractor — the vendor's own materials state no other organization is authorized to provide the FAAST system. The Army procures access to it rather than owning the underlying software outright; Ganuch has held a GSA Multiple Award Schedule contract (GS-35F-0482W) covering FAAST, and the Army has also issued direct sustainment/support-services contracts for it (visible on SAM.gov). Public sourcing does not identify a specific Army program office as the sponsoring authority.

Access

FAAST is not an open public tool. The site provides a password/account-request page (faast.army.mil/pwrequest.asp) rather than public browsing, consistent with an authenticated Army/Reserve/National Guard user base. The directory's prior "public" classification does not match this.

Property book officers and equipment managers use FAAST to locate assets across subordinate units, identify excess equipment for redistribution, execute and track lateral transfers and turn-ins, and avoid duplicate disposition actions on the same LIN — supporting readiness by moving existing assets to where they're needed rather than procuring new equipment.
