i3Log is an Army logistics reporting tool, hosted on the Army Vantage platform, that gives logisticians visibility into data from the Army's Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) system. It organizes LMP data into standard reports — by National Item Identification Number (NIIN), AMC Analyst Code, weapon system code, and general global views — and requires a CAC and Army network access to use.
What it is
i3Log reports on data originating in LMP, the Army's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for supply chain, maintenance/repair/overhaul, and Army Working Capital Fund financial management. Rather than transacting in LMP directly, i3Log gives users curated, searchable reports grouped by common logistics keys — NIIN, AMC Analyst Code, weapon system code — plus broader summary-level views. A predecessor Army article describing the earlier i2Log tool noted that searching an item manager/analyst code surfaces that item manager's contact information, letting personnel reach the right person for a given piece of equipment or materiel.
Who operates it
Access
i3Log is hosted on Army Vantage, an authenticated Army data platform, at vantage.army.mil/i3log. Access requires a CAC and appropriate Army network credentials — this is not a public tool, despite the directory's stored "public" value. No publicly documented self-service account-request path (e.g., a SAAR form or open registration page) was found; access appears to run through standard Army Vantage account provisioning.
How logisticians use it
Logistics analysts use i3Log to pull standardized LMP reports — for example, reviewing materiel by NIIN, examining items under a given AMC Analyst Code, or looking up the item manager responsible for a piece of equipment — without working transactions directly in LMP itself.
History & lineage
i3Log is the successor to i2Log (formerly at i2log.apg.army.mil). Public Army reporting indicates i2Log was originally scheduled to sunset at the end of September 2023 but was extended to March 30, 2024, while i3Log — the replacement fielded on Army Vantage — deployed at the end of September 2023, overlapping with i2Log during the transition.
Related systems
i3Log is tied directly to the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and runs on the Army Vantage analytics platform; it functions alongside other Army logistics and ERP reporting capabilities that also draw on LMP data.
