The Stock Control System (SCS) is a U.S. Air Force wholesale supply system, also used by the U.S. Marine Corps, that automates stock control and requisition processing at Air Force inventory control points. It provides technical (FEDLOG) cataloging information, asset-balance visibility, and requisition status, and is sustained by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. It is reached at scsweb.csd.disa.mil, a CAC-authenticated DISA-hosted portal — not a publicly browsable site.
What it is
SCS automates the management of supply and enhances processing of stock-control transactions and management information at USAF and USMC inventory control points. It controls the allocation, storage, movement, and financial inventory accounting of government-managed materiel; provides supply support to depot maintenance at the Air Logistics Centers (ALCs); delivers asset visibility of managed items; and optimizes distribution and redistribution of stock through leveling. SCS is part of the Air Force's D035 family of legacy logistics systems (which also includes related subsystems for wholesale requisitioning, receiving/shipping, and inventory/storage).
Who operates it
SCS is owned and sustained by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Logistics Legacy Systems Division (AFLCMC/HIA), part of the Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (AFLCMC/HI), which functions as the program management office for the system, supported by contracted subject-matter-expert personnel administered under AFLCMC/HIAR SME-support contracts covering SCS among other logistics IT programs.
Access
SCS is an authenticated Air Force/Marine Corps wholesale-supply system for inventory-control and depot-maintenance personnel, not a public website. The listed URL (scsweb.csd.disa.mil) sits on DISA's CAC-gated portal infrastructure (csd.disa.mil), consistent with other DISA systems that require a Common Access Card / client certificate to reach any content. No public self-registration or SAAR path is published for this tool; access is arranged through one's unit or the AFLCMC/HIA program office.
How logisticians use it
Inventory managers and supply personnel use SCS to process requisitions, check asset availability and balances, look up technical/cataloging (FEDLOG) information, allocate and level stock worldwide, and support depot-maintenance supply operations at the Air Logistics Centers.
Related systems
SCS operates alongside other D035-family Air Force logistics systems supporting wholesale requisitioning, receiving/shipping, and inventory storage, and it consumes FEDLOG cataloging data for technical/item information.
