The Aircraft Repair and Supply Center (ARSC) — renamed the Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) in 2008 — is the U.S. Coast Guard's centralized aviation depot, based at Coast Guard Base Elizabeth City, North Carolina. It performs depot-level maintenance, engineering, supply/procurement, and information services that keep the Coast Guard's entire aircraft fleet airworthy. Coast Guard air stations and aviation program managers rely on it as the sustainment backbone for every Coast Guard aircraft type.
What it is
ALC is the Coast Guard's aviation logistics center, delivering depot-level (D-level) maintenance, engineering support, aviation supply and procurement, information services, and acquisition project execution for the service's aircraft fleet. Depot-level maintenance means a complete teardown, inspection, repair, and rebuild — each Coast Guard aircraft cycles through ALC on a four-year recurring schedule, with the center completing programmed depot maintenance on roughly 42 of the fleet's approximately 204 aircraft each year. ALC supports the HC-130J, HC-144, C-27J, MH-60T, and MH-65E airframes. The center traces its lineage to the Aircraft Repair and Supply Base established in 1947 at Elizabeth City; it was dedicated as the Aviation Logistics Center in 2008.

It functions as the Coast Guard's counterpart to the other services' aviation depots (e.g., Navy fleet readiness centers, Army aviation logistics commands).
History & lineage
Established in 1947 as the Aircraft Repair and Supply Base (ARSB), later known as the Aircraft Repair and Supply Center (ARSC), the unit was renamed the Aviation Logistics Center in 2008 to reflect its expanded logistics mission beyond repair and supply alone. The legacy uscg.mil/alc URL has since been folded into the Coast Guard's DCMS web structure.
