The USCG Portal (cgportal2.uscg.mil) is the U.S. Coast Guard's internal enterprise web portal, used by Coast Guard military and civilian personnel to reach mission communities, directives, forms, and program-office resources — including energy/fuels information from the Office of Energy Management (CG-46) and DLA Energy. It requires a Common Access Card (CAC) to sign in and is not accessible to the general public.

What it is

CG Portal is a web-based collaboration and content-management suite the Coast Guard uses in place of older intranet systems, providing a single entry point to mission communities, official directives, forms libraries, and program-office pages for Coast Guard personnel.

Who operates it

The U.S. Coast Guard operates the portal as an internal enterprise system.

Access

The portal requires sign-in with a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) via smart-card login; it is restricted to Coast Guard personnel and is not a public-facing website. The directory previously listed this tool's access as "public," which does not match the portal's actual CAC sign-in requirement.

How logisticians use it

Coast Guard logistics personnel use the portal as a jumping-off point to program-office resources relevant to their work, including energy and fuel-support information tied to the Office of Energy Management (CG-46) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy, as well as directives and forms libraries referenced in day-to-day logistics processes.

Related systems

Related Coast Guard and DoD systems include the Office of Energy Management (CG-46), which sits under the Assistant Commandant for Engineering & Logistics (CG-4), and DLA Energy, which supports Coast Guard fuel accounts and provides its own CAC-enabled DLA Energy Portal for customers working with defense fuel support points.
