The legacy URL on file (cargoserv.com/tracking.asp) now redirects to freight.aero, a broader CHAMP/SITA-affiliated cargo transaction platform (schedules, bookings, and shipment tracking across participating carriers). CHAMP separately operates a basic Track & Trace tool at track.champ.aero, where a user can look up shipment status for up to ten air waybill (AWB) numbers at a time, with no login required. CHAMP also sells a premium tier, Traxon Premium Tracking, which aggregates real-time, event-based tracking across 100+ airlines regardless of who issued the freight waybill, plus API integration and 30-day event history — this tier is subscription-based and requires contacting CHAMP directly.
Who operates it
CHAMP Cargosystems S.A., a commercial aviation IT company and wholly owned subsidiary of SITA (Luxembourg-headquartered; SITA completed full ownership in 2022 after Cargolux sold its remaining 49% stake). CHAMP is not a federal agency, DoD component, or government contractor operating on the government's behalf in this capacity.

The basic AWB lookup at track.champ.aero is open to the public with no account required. The premium Traxon tier is commercial/subscription and gated behind a sales inquiry — CHAMP's contact page offers only a lead-generation form, with no published general support email or phone number found on official pages.
How logisticians use it
A logistics professional moving freight on commercial air carriers could use CHAMP's public tracker to check AWB status the same way any commercial shipper does. It does not provide visibility into DoD-controlled cargo moving through the Defense Transportation System. For that, the authoritative government tools are USTRANSCOM's transportation visibility systems.
