APL Tracking
APL Tracking is the container/booking/BOL track-and-trace tool on apl.com, run by American President Lines (APL), which since October 2020 has operated as CMA CGM Group's dedicated U.S. Government and U.S.-flag carrier (branded APL CEVA Government Logistics). It's a commercial carrier tool, not a DoD system — for cross-carrier DoD cargo visibility, logisticians use USTRANSCOM's IGC/Single Mobility System instead. Not to be confused with the Navy supply term APL (Allowance Parts List).

DB Schenker USA Shipment Tracking
DB Schenker USA Shipment Tracking is dead: the old apps.dbschenkerusa.com tracking site was decommissioned October 1, 2023, and DB Schenker itself was acquired by DSV (closed April 30, 2025). Tracking now runs through DSV's myDSV platform during a multi-year systems integration. Commercial carrier tool, not DoD.

DD Form 1149 (Requisition and Invoice/Shipping Document) is a DoD form for requisitioning, shipping, and transferring materiel and government property outside MILSTRIP channels — commonly used for lateral transfers and government-furnished property (GFP) movements to/from contractors. The current edition (Jan 2016) is published by WHS Executive Services Directorate and is a free public PDF download; no account or CAC is required to obtain or use the form.

TGET (Transportation Global Edit Table) is DFAS's authoritative DoD-wide repository of transportation Lines of Accounting (LOAs) and Transportation Account Codes (TACs), maintained within the BEIS environment; each Service keeps its own entries current, and the data is reviewed against the Third Party Payment System (TPPS). Access requires a DD Form 2875 request through BEIS Operations Support, not open public access.

DOCUMENT IDENTIFIER CODES DOCID DIC
Document Identifier Codes (DIC), also called DOCID, are the three-character alphanumeric codes occupying record positions 1-3 of a MILSTRIP/MILSTRAP logistics transaction that tell DoD supply and transportation systems what kind of transaction it is (requisition, status, receipt, cancellation, etc.). They are defined and maintained by DLA's Defense Enterprise Data Standards Office (DEDSO) in DLM 4000.25 (the Defense Logistics Management Standards manual), Volume 2, Appendix 2.1.

Electronic Transportation Acquisition (ETA) is the DoD single sign-on portal to Global Freight Management (GFM), the suite of tools used to procure and track commercial freight transportation for the military; it is operated by the U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS, formerly SDDC) and now reached via TEAMS at eta-teams.transport.mil, with CAC/ECA-gated login.

GSA Per Diem Rates
GSA Per Diem Rates (gsa.gov/perdiem) is GSA's official lookup for CONUS lodging and M&IE travel reimbursement rates, used government-wide — including DoD — to build travel authorizations and vouchers, typically via DTS. DoD's Per Diem Committee sets non-foreign OCONUS rates and State sets foreign rates. Fully public, no account required.

IRRIS
IRRIS (Intelligent Road/Rail Information Server) was a Web-based geospatial transportation-information system built by the Army's Transportation Engineering Agency (now under U.S. Army Transportation Command, ARTRANS, formerly SDDC), providing road/bridge/route data, imagery, and real-time travel conditions to support Army surface-deployment route planning. A primary SDDCTEA source confirms IRRIS was succeeded by the Transportation Geo-Spatial Information System (TGIS); access has never been public and required an account (CAC required for related TGIS components).

Radio Frequency Identification RFID
RFID here refers to the DoD RF-ITV (Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility) system, operated by the Army's AMIS program under PEO Enterprise Information Systems. RF-ITV uses active RFID tags and satellite tracking devices read across a worldwide network of fixed/mobile stations to provide in-transit visibility of shipments for DoD, NATO, and coalition partners.
