DLA Disposition Services Digital DSR

Digital DSR (DDSR) is the customer-facing web portal DLA Disposition Services runs at dla.mil/ddsr for anyone turning in or reutilizing DoD excess property. It brings turn-in instructions for dozens of specialized property categories, property-search tools, and self-paced training into one place, standing in for the in-person Disposal Service Representative (DSR) for routine questions.

What it is

"DSR" refers to a Disposal Service Representative — the DLA Disposition Services staff member who is a customer's first point of contact for property turn-in and reutilization questions, available by phone, email, or in person. Digital DSR extends that role online: it is a portal (not a single transactional system) organized around Property Search — including an RTD Search tool for locating reutilizable property, a Want List feature, and Letter of Authorization (LOA) guidance — plus turn-in procedures and a "virtual schoolhouse" of training lessons on Disposition Services' mission, locations, turn-in, and reutilization.

Access

The Digital DSR informational pages — turn-in guidance, training lessons, general property-search information — are openly accessible on dla.mil with no login. Actually searching and requesting property through RTD (Reutilization, Transfer, and Donation) requires an AMPS-provisioned account with CAC authentication, consistent with DLA's other transactional External Business Portal applications. There is no single public "request an account" page specific to DDSR itself; AMPS access is requested through DLA's standard external-partner account process.

How logisticians use it

Logisticians and property custodians use Digital DSR to self-serve the questions a DSR would otherwise answer by phone: how to turn in a specific category of excess property, what documentation is required, and where the nearest disposition site is. Personnel who reutilize DoD property before it's disposed of use the Property Search / RTD Search and Want List tools (once AMPS-provisioned) to locate available items and track request status. The training lessons are used both by new Disposition Services staff and by customer units learning the turn-in process.
